Let’s say you have studied books, several of them. You’ve purchased books you fell in love with. You did the “homework”. You did the “research”. You spent so much money on buying just the right tools, that you had to resign to eating Oodles of Noodles for a week because you over spent.

The first thing you need to realize is that you don’t need to spend any money at all, to master the Craft. Every ounce of energy you send out, is found, within you. You just need to learn how to draw that energy force in you and send it out, in a way, that renders YOU successful.

The biggest misconception is you need to buy THINGS. These things only serve as a vehicle to achieve your goals. However, you may not remember this, but you have probably spent several years, just walking, to where you want to be. You don’t need expensive cars to get to your destination, either.

Merely looking at an expensive vehicle though, could instill a sense of security.

“Yes, i can make that trip to the city some 2 hours away in this baby! No doubt in my mind!!” You’re so positive, you just get in and go, not giving it a second thought. Why do we not feel that way about ourselves? You have been in your body for years now. Your body sometimes lets you down, but it’s always there. Always carrying your bones, your blood, your organs… and your thoughts.

Trusting yourself, that you can get the job done, is the first thing you need to learn in order to proceed to practicing successful magick. What else do you need? Well you need to learn how to visualize. As a child we used to daydream and even as adults we find ourselves daydreaming and escaping. There is nothing wrong with that, in fact you need to learn how to fine tune your daydreaming capabilities, in order for successful magick workings.

You have an idea and you want to manifest your idea. No matter what it is, you need to see yourself having what you want, live it, breathe it, smell it. Think of something simple for starters. Say you want a cup of coffee for instance. You sit down and you think about it. You know how you just kind of sit down and eat, mindlessly? One of the easiest ways to realize what you are putting is your mouth, is taking advice from dieters.

You sit down at a place associated with eating aka dinner table. You have your plate before you and your water glass plus your silverware in hand. Chew each bite and savor it. Taste it, ever herb, spice and seasoning. Notice the tenderness of the meat. Mindfully count each chew and don’t swallow until you’ve reached 25 chews. Sounds silly right? Well as silly as it sounds, it works for dieters plus gives your stomach a chance to digest and fill up. If you zip thru your meal you may find yourself stuffing more in your pie-hole, that you just didn’t need.

So, back to that cup of coffee. You sit down where you normally would enjoy a hot steamy cup of coffee. Imagine the heaviness and the warmth of the cup. Take in a soft breathe, imagine how it smells. How it fills you with happiness, the scent. Imagine putting the hot cup up to your mouth, cautiously, its hot! How does it taste as you sip on it, maybe you blow on it as it cools, allowing the delicious smelling aroma to lift to your nostrils. Breathe in, inhale the scent.

This is part of learning to visualize. Close your eyes and see a cup of coffee in your hand. Would you stir it with a spoon? Does it have whipped cream in it, chocolate shavings etc. Really think and focus on that cup of coffee. Now if you can open your eyes and have a cup of Joe in your hand that looks like it came straight from star bucks you’re going to make a killing in the $$ department. This is just a simple exercise to try to develop your visualization skills.

Don’t like coffee? Fine think of something you do like and go from there. Spend time on this every day until you can see clearly in your mind, when you close your eyes a movie, starring you, holding that fabulous cup of coffee. You see the satisfaction on your face, you smell it, you desire it, you attain it. By all means get up and go get some of whatever it is you visualize, be sure to have it on hand, this is just adds to the creativity of it all.
