Collection: The Luna Jacket

The Luna Jackets are a small collection of open jackets, crafted in Guatemala from traditional fabrics.

Traditional Tipico woven fabrics, known as Cortes are traditionally worn as a skirt from one piece of fabric. These fabrics we us were sourced in Antigua from a Textile space, where local women sell traditional fabrics.

The fabric has been transformed into a totally unique and almost uni-size open jacket by Mayra at UPAVIM. It's a kimono-inspired shape with a lapel (or Solapa in Spanish!) all the way around in a contrasting direction.

  • Crafted by a self-run women's cooperative
  • Designed using fabrics, woven on a foot-loom
  • Every Luna jacket is totally unique.
  • Fair Trade
  • Uni-size
  • Made by Mayra
